Sky News promotes Mercer to chief sub-editor

David Mercer

David Mercer, a home affairs reporter at Sky News, has been appointed to the post of sub-editor. In his new role, he will handle breaking news and publish content on the website and app.

Mercer has been with Sky News for more than five years, joining as a news reporter/chief sub-editor.

Previously, he held the posts of news reporter, Los Angeles correspondent and news editor at PA Media.
