Sky News hires van der Merwe as a data journalist

Sky News has hired Ben van der Merwe as a data journalist on the data and forensics team. He joined from the New Statesman Media Group, where he held the same post.

Aside from interning at Reach and The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, van der Merwe freelanced for the Observer, Vice and Byline Times.

He has a BSc. from UCL and an MPhil from the University of Oxford.
