Sills appointed assistant editor at The Telegraph

Adam Sills

The Telegraph has tapped Adam Sills as assistant editor. In his new role, Sills will be responsible for continued excellence in the newsroom, focusing on talent identification and development.

Recently, he was head of sport, leading the department and multiple platforms. He also managed a team of more than 60 journalists and was responsible for coverage across telegraph.co.uk/sport, the Daily and Sunday Telegraph Sport sections.

He also founded and launched Telegraph Women’s Sport in 2018. Before that, he was a sports editor.

Sills has been with The Telegraph for over 11 years. Before that, he was at The Guardian for over 12 years. There, he joined as a sports trainee after his newspaper journalism postgraduate course from City, University of London.

He was then hired full-time as a sub-editor. He was later promoted to assistant sports editor and then to head of sport planning.
