Lauren Shiplett has joined Vice News as a publicist. Previously, she was a media specialist at Edelman, reports Politico.
Shiplett has also worked as a public relations coordinator and then as a publicist at the Washington Post. She was also a business desk editor at MediaFile and served as a public relations intern at CNN. She has also worked at NPR as a corporate communications intern and as an audience relations assistant.
She was also a strategic communications eIntern at the bureau of human resources at the U.S. Department of State. Shiplett was also a communications intern at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and an IT administrative intern at Orange County NC Division of Information Technology.
Additionally, Shiplett has also interned at Orange County Government, Hillsborough NC and Capitol Standard Magazine.
Shiplett is a B.A. in communication from the George Washington University.
