Semafor has tapped David Weigel to serve as a reporter in Washington, D.C.. Recently, Weigel was a national political reporter at The Washington Post.
Before that, Weigel worked at Bloomberg on the politics team. He was a senior politics reporter at Slate, where he also hosted a political interview podcast and the “Weigel” news blog.
His work has appeared in Washington’s City Paper, Time, Foreign Policy, The American Prospect, The American Conservative, GQ, Esquire, and Rolling Stone.
Weigel graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
