Eleanor Mueller will be joining Semafor as a reporter to cover Capitol Hill’s high-stakes fiscal battles as the Trump administration pushes its tax and trade agenda.
Mueller has most recently covered Congress for Politico’s financial services and other economic policy teams since 2022. She previously covered labor for Politico.
Before joining Politico in 2018, she reported out of newsrooms across Washington, including those of Sinclair Broadcast Group, CNN, McClatchy and USA Today.
