Katy Searle, a senior controller working on digital strategy for BBC News is set to leave after three decades. Her tweet reads:
“Personal news – after a (very) long career at the BBC, I’m moving on later this year and excited about new challenges ahead. The BBC is a wonderful place, filled with incredible people. I’ll miss you all. Thanks for giving me the best times. I’ve had a ball.”
Searle joined as a producer/researcher in April 1990. Since then, she has held various roles, including assistant editor, strand editor, head of BBC Westminster and executive editor for politics.
