Scripps, Google partner on multi-year initiative

The E.W. Scripps Company and Google are collaborating on a multi-year deal to prepare experienced journalists with print news backgrounds for broadcast news careers.

Under the agreement, Google has committed to underwrite the newly created Scripps Journalism Journey Initiative. Selected journalists will be hired full-time, holding positions in Scripps local and national media newsrooms.

Journalists may also receive additional opportunities via professional conferences and programs via the Google News Initiative.
