After a year of working as a part-time freelancer, Emily Makowski has joined the staff of Scientific American full time as an associate copy editor.
Makowski works as a communication specialist at research services The Rogan Institute. She was a content writer at The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and a science intern at The Scientist.
She also interned at Environmental Health News.
Makowski has a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and a M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
