Savannah TV station appoints Tommy House chief meteorologist

Tommy House is joining Savannah, Ga., Fox affiliate WTGS as its chief meteorologist.

“I am pleased to announce that I have accepted a Chief Meteorologist position at Fox 28 in Savannah Georgia!” House wrote on social media. “I am excited to work in this leadership role and serve the people of Georgia and SC! Thank you everyone for your support!”

House has been a freelance meteorologist at WNYT in Albany, N.Y. since March. Before that, he worked freelance at WGME in Portland, Maine while working part time for Plymouth State University.
