Sauer departs Moscow Times for the Guardian

Pjotr Sauer

Pjotr Sauer has joined The Guardian as a Russia affairs correspondent, covering Russia, Ukraine and the broader region.

He comes from The Moscow Times, where he was a journalist.

Apart from The Moscow Times, his work has also appeared in the Telegraph and others. He has also been a guest on the BBC and Al Jazeera, among other outlets.

Sauer has a B.A. from the University College Utrecht.
