San Francisco Chronicle reporter Wu departs

Gwendolyn Wu, writer for “Bay Briefing,” San Francisco Chronicle’s flagship morning newsletter and an engagement reporter at the paper has left. Wu’s tweet reads, “I’m so glad I got a chance to return to where I started my journalism career. Next stop TBA!”

Previously, Wu covered medicine, the business of health care and COVID-19 for the Houston Chronicle. She also reported on crime, courts and breaking news for the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGATE.

She interned at the San Francisco Magazine.

Wu graduated from UC Santa Barbara.
