Annie Blanks, a reporter at the San Antonio Express News, has left. Her tweet reads:
“I’ve been a journalist for 8 years now and I absolutely love this career. I’ll jump back into it when the time is right, but for now I’m focusing on my little growing family – and I’ll always be cheering on my friends in this industry from afar.”
Previously, Blanks was a reporter at The Pensacola News Journal, a daily serving Florida counties Escambia and Santa Rosa.
She also reported for Northwest Florida Daily News.
Blanks has a B.A. in English from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.
