Robert Samuels, a national political reporter at the Washington Post, will leave to join The New Yorker as a staff writer. He begins in March.
Samuels has been with the Post for the past 12 years. Prior to joining the Post, he worked at the Miami Herald for more than four years.
Samuels graduated from Northwestern University, where he served as editor in chief of both the student newspaper and BlackBoard, the long-running Black student magazine.
