Catherine Salmond has been named editor of The Herald. Previously, she was an editor at Scotland on Sunday.
Before that, Salmond was a live news editor at The Scotsman. She held the posts of assistant news editor, acting features editor and senior reporter at Edinburgh Evening News.
Salmond graduated from the University of Glasgow.
