The Sacramento Bee has tapped Adam Ashton as assistant managing editor leading metro news. He recently served as Capitol bureau chief, leading a team of reporters covering California politics and government.
He was also a senior writer and anchored the Bee’s popular state worker coverage. He also served as a military reporter at The News Tribune and was a reporter on McClatchy’s foreign staff. He was also an assistant city editor at The Modesto Bee and a news assistant at The Associated Press.
Ashton has a B.A. from San Francisco State University.
