Maggie Angst has joined The Sacramento Bee to cover California politics. Recently, Angst was an accountability reporter at The San Jose Mercury News, where she covered Silicon Valley, wildfires, local government and the pandemic.
She was a quality of life reporter and education reporter at the South Carolina newspaper The Island Packet.
Angst also served as a breaking news reporter/digital producer at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and interned at Investigative Reporters and Editors as well as the Chicago Tribune Media Group.
Angst graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
