Sacramento Bee appoints McGough assistant local news editor

Mike McGough

The Sacramento Bee has tapped Mike McGough to serve as an assistant local news editor. His tweet reads:

“I’m still in the breaking news biz, now with an evening focus, so please continue to send tips my way if you are so inclined.”

Previously, McGough interned at and freelanced for the Bee. He also worked as a sports editor at The State Hornet, California State University-Sacramento’s student newspaper.

McGough graduated from Cal State Sacramento with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
