The Athletic has hired Dianna Russini as senior NFL Insider. In her new role, she will lead the Times’ NFL breaking news coverage and collaborate with NFL reporters provide in-depth football coverage.
Russini will also contribute to audio and video platforms.
She joins from ESPN, where she was a SportsCenter anchor. Prior to joining ESPN in September 2015, she was at NBC News, where she held the posts of sports anchor/reporter and general assignment reporter.
She was a reporter and host at Comcast and served as a general assignment reporter and bureau chief at New York’s NBC outlet WNBC-TV Ch. 4.
Russini has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from George Mason University.
