RTE journalist Keane departs

Fergal Keane

Fergal Keane, a correspondent at RTE, has left. He joined RTE in 2008. His tweet reads:

“In a bit of personal news. After nearly three decades reporting for RTE Radio I have decided to leave RTE to pursue other interests. It’s been an honour to tell people’s stories.”

Keane also served as a correspondent at The Sunday Tribune and the Irish Press Group, where he worked for the Evening Press, The Irish Press and The Sunday Press.

He was also a journalist at The Irish Examiner.

Keane has a B.A. from University College Cork in Ireland and a M.A. from Dublin City University.
