Cam Rodriguez will be joining Chalkbeat as a data and graphics reporter. She begins next week.
Alongside her new role, she is pursuing an M.A. in data journalism from DePaul University, graduating in June 2022. She was a contributing writer, associate editor and then managing editor at 14 East Magazine in Chicago, Illinois.
She has also worked freelance and interned at USA Today via the Dow Jones News Fund. She was also an intern at WTTW/Chicago PBS. She was also a production assistant at NBC Chicago.
Rodriguez has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from DePaul University.
