Morey Hershgordon, a sports director at WPRI-TV Ch. 12, a CBS and MyNetworkTV affiliate in Providence, R.I., is set to leave the station Sept. 6.
Hershgordon wrote on X/Twitter:
“It has been an absolute pleasure for 5+ years serving the wonderful people of Southern New England and doing it alongside some of the most talented people in TV.”
He has been with the TV station for more than five years, previously serving as a sports reporter and weekend sports anchor. He also worked as a sports reporter and anchor at WAOW-TV Ch. 9, an ABC station in Wausau, Wis.
He interned at Philadelphia’s Fox outlet WTFX-TV Ch. 29.
Hershgordon has a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
