Reporter Johnson departs USA Today for News and Observer

Kristen Johnson

Kristen Johnson has joined The News and Observer in Raleigh, N.C. as a breaking news reporter. She joins from Gannett | USA Today Network, where she was an investigative reporter.

There, she also worked as a regional enterprise reporter. She was a politics intern at The E.W. Scripps Company.

Johnson earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has a M.A. from American University.
