Patrick Reis will join Vox as a senior politics editor to helm coverage of the 2024 presidential election and to oversee a team of writers focused on national politics and ideas.
Reis begins Sept. 18.
He joins from Rolling Stone, where he held the same post. He also edited economic policy coverage at The Washington Post and covered the 2016 presidential campaign at Politico.
He also reported on climate change and public lands at National Journal, Politico, and E&E News.
Reis previously worked at Seattle’s nonprofit weekly street newspaper Real Change News.
