Semafor has appointed Prashant Rao as a senior editor in London, where he will lead Semafor’s daily global publication Flagship, and will also oversee a range of other projects.
Rao was an international editor at The Atlantic and deputy Europe business editor at The New York Times.
He served as U.K. reporter, Baghdad correspondent, Baghdad deputy bureau chief, journalism trainer, Baghdad bureau chief and editor – Asia-Pacific news desk at AFP. He also reported for Bloomberg and Euromoney.
Rao interned at BBC News and South China Morning Post. He has a BSc. from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
