Publications shine at the National Art and Entertainment Journalism awards

The Hollywood Reporter was nominated for best entertainment publication and best website for the 13th annual National Arts and Entertainment Journalism awards.

Additionally, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is up for best columnist, Scott Feinberg was nominated for online journalist of the year, and Sheri Linden and Inkoo Kang were nominated for best critic in the film and TV categories, respectively.

The publication was also nominated in several other categories, including features, investigative stories, photography, video, podcasts and more.

Variety has landed 99 nominations at the National Art and Entertainment Journalism awards, a record-breaking number of nominations for the publication.

“This is an amazing achievement by our stellar team of journalists, accomplished during the most challenging year any of us have ever experienced,” said Claudia Eller, editor-in-chief, Variety.

TheWrap also received 18 nominations at the National Art and Entertainment Journalism awards, including best entertainment website. Founder and editor-in-chief Sharon Waxman received multiple nominations, including for Online Journalist of the Year and two nominations for her WaxWord column.

The awards will be presented at a virtual ceremony this spring.
