Gregory Pratt, a city hall reporter at The Chicago Tribune has moved to the investigative team.
Pratt wrote on X/Twitter:
“Covering City Hall the past five years has been an honor and privilege. I feel good about the work I’ve done to inform, expose, and entertain, but it’s time for a new adventure.”
He has been with the newspaper for more than 10 years. During this time, he held the posts of Tinley Park reporter, South suburban watchdog reporter and general assignment/watchdog reporter.
He also interned at Hoy Newspaper in Chicago, where he focused on Latino neighborhoods, immigration and social justice issues. He also wrote for the now-defunct City Pages, which was an alternative newspaper in Minneapolis.
