Post and Courier names Cato managing editor

Jason Cato

Jason Cato has joined The Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C. as managing editor. He spent more than 16 years at the Tribune Review as deputy managing editor in Pittsburgh.

There, he led a newsroom of 10 reporters and two assistant news editors and served as a federal courts reporter while covering breaking news and general assignment topics.

Previously, Cato was a reporter/assistant city editor at The Herald in Rock Hill, S.C.

Cato has a B.A. from the College of Charleston.
