Politico promotes Vestal to election projects editor

Allan James Vestal

Allan James Vestal, senior news applications developer at Politico, has been appointed election projects editor.

Previously, he was a computational journalist at The Dallas Morning News.

Vestal was previously a news application developer at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and was an intern and then a contributor on the data desk at the Los Angeles Times. He has also worked at Investigative Reporters and Editors.

Vestal graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he worked at the student paper.
