Politico names Cadelago California bureau chief

Christopher Cadelago

Politico has promoted White House correspondent Christopher Cadelago to California bureau chief. He joined Politico in April 2018 as a White House reporter and then held the national political reporter post.

Before that, Cadelago was a political correspondent at The Sacramento Bee, where he covered statewide elected officials and the state’s delegation in Washington. He was also a staff writer and Capitol correspondent at The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Cadelago also wrote for the Los Angeles Times and interned at the San Francisco Chronicle.

Cadelago has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
