POLITICO’s Journalism Institute is now accepting applications for its 2023 session! From May 30 through June 9, at least 12 undergraduate, graduate students or recent graduates will have the opportunity to participate in a competitive training program which seeks to prepare the next generation of journalists who are passionate about covering politics and policy.
PJI participants will have the unique opportunity to attend panels with industry leaders, interactive sessions, mentor pairings with POLITICO journalists and the possibility to have their work published by POLITICO. The intensive 10-day program will be held in-person, splitting time between American University in Washington D.C. and POLITICO’s headquarters in Arlington, VA. Additionally, POLITICO covers all costs for participants including housing, meals and transportation.
Applications are due Mon. Dec. 5, 2022 by 11:59 p.m. EST. Applicants who are rising juniors or seniors at accredited four-year colleges or universities are given preferences. Members of affinity journalism associations are encouraged to apply. For any questions about POLITICO’s Journalism Institute application, please contact careers@politico.com.
