James Randerson, editorial director of innovation and platforms at Politico Europe, has left after six years. His tweet reads:
“6 years has taught me so much about journalism and myself. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some wonderful colleagues. Thanks for the scoops and the camaraderie. Info about my next steps soon but now time for some relaxing.”
Previously, Randerson held the posts of news editor and managing editor.
He worked at The Guardian for more than 10 years, where he held various posts, including science correspondent, online environment editor and assistant national news editor.
He was a reporter and deputy news editor at the New Scientist.
Randerson has a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a PhD. from the University of Bath.
