Bob King, deputy managing editor at Politico, will take on an expanded role driving coverage on energy, environment and transportation.
King joined Politico in 2011 as deputy energy editor, overseeing reporters covering energy and environmental politics and policy. He also wrote stories for Politico Pro. He then served as energy editor, and later on, was promoted to energy and transportation editor.
Prior to Politico, King was at The Palm Beach Post, where he held the posts of environmental reporter, assistant breaking news editor and community editor.
He also served as a political reporter and environmental/transportation reporter for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
King has a B.A. from Penn State University.
