Before that, he was deputy editor /trade and agriculture and editor at China Watcher.
He served as world editor at the Miami Herald and was national/international editor at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He was also a senior staff writer at the Dallas Morning News.
He worked at The Associated Press.
Yearwood has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
