Politico appoints Yearwood editorial director for diversity and culture

John Yearwood

Politico has tapped John Yearwood to serve as editorial director for diversity and culture. Recently, Yearwood served as global news editor.

Before that, he was deputy editor /trade and agriculture and editor at China Watcher.

He served as world editor at the Miami Herald and was national/international editor at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He was also a senior staff writer at the Dallas Morning News.

He worked at The Associated Press.

Yearwood has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
