Tyler Weyant, deputy nightly editor at Politico, has been promoted to the post of deputy Congress editor for “Minutes,” which provides news and analysis from Capitol Hill.
Weyant has been with Politico for eight years, joining as a pro copy editor. He then became pro deputy production director and was then promoted to pro deputy operations director. In 2020, he was named policy news editor.
Before that, he served as a copy editor/page designer at Carroll County Times in Westminster, Md. He was previously an intern at USA Today.
Weyant has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Maryland.
