Politico appoints McDonald as political reporter

Andrew McDonald, a reporter for Politico’s London Playbook, where he focused on the London Playbook newsletter and Westminster and Scottish politics, has taken over the role of political reporter.

McDonald joined Politico in 2020, while in his final year at Edinburgh Napier University, where he was pursing his journalism degree.

While at university, he “reported on various political stories at both Westminster and Holyrood and was his course group’s de facto political correspondent,” Politico noted.

He also worked at The Scotsman.

Be sure to congratulate McDonald on Twitter.
