WNYC has hired Janae Pierre as host of the daily news podcast, “Consider This.” The podcast is jointly produced by WNYC and NPR bringing listeners a mix of local and national stories based on the listener’s location.
She starts Feb. 7.
Pierre joins from WBHM, the FM radio station in Birmingham, Alabama, where she was a radio host and reporter.
She has also worked in New Orleans, Louisiana as a radio host/producer at WWNO 88.9FM and as an on-air host and promotions director at WBOK 1230AM.
Pierre has a B.A. in communication and media studies from Xavier University of Louisiana.
