Terry Toohey, assistant sports editor and Villanova beat writer at The Delaware County Daily Times in suburban Philadelphia, wrote on Twitter:
“Some personal news. After 42 years my days at the Daily Times are done. I’ve decided to retire. This was my choice. It’s time. It’s been a hell of a ride and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Toohey joined the daily newspaper in 1981 and has covered football, high school volleyball, field hockey, wrestling and track.
