Joel Petterson, deputy editor on the Home team at the New York Times, will join the London hub of Express as a senior editor.
Petterson has worked at the Times for more than seven years. During this time, he held the posts of intermediate editor, night sports editor, baseball editor and assistant editor on the Home staff.
He also held the post of sports copy editor at The Seattle Times and served as University of Kansas sports stringer at The Associated Press.
Petterson has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of Kansas.
