Perpich promoted to NY Times associate audience editor

Abby Perpich

The New York Times has promoted Abby Perpich to associate audience editor for Visuals. In her new role, Perpich will work with Graphics, Photo, Video and Design, “The Upshot” and the Weather and Data teams to maximize on audience via search and social programming strategies.

She will also pitch internally to the home page, newsletters and other alerts.

An excerpt from the announcement reads:

“This is a natural step for Abby. As we look at what she’s accomplished as a senior projects manager on the visuals desks the past two years — from strategizing and managing various visual initiatives across live, accessibility work and partnerships, to tracking the success of our visual journalism and assets through the lens of visual priorities — we see it has all been rooted in promoting the work of our visual desks and deepening our engagement.

“Prior to working across the visuals desks, Abby worked as a senior program manager for The Times’s Live Events.”
