Overstory Media lays off staff reporter Basu

Brishti Basu

Canada’s Overstory Media Group has laid off several members of the editorial team of one of its publications The Capital Daily. Among the layoffs is staff reporter Brishti Basu.

Basu’s tweet reads:

“Proud of the work we’ve done there these last few years, and disappointed in the direction it’s taking.”

Previously, Basu worked freelance and was a senior marketing consultant at HR and marketing consultancy service company The Acquisition Group in British Columbia.
