Aimee Ortiz will join The New York Times Express team as a breaking news reporter.
Recently, Ortiz reported for the Investigations team, where she worked with editors to update and improve “TipJar,” the newsroom’s confidential tips system. She joined in September 2019 on the Express desk.
Prior to joining the Times, she worked at The Boston Globe for more than four years as a digital content producer, reporter, digital content producer for Opinion and Ideas, and editorial board member.
She interned at The Christian Science Monitor and was a collegiate correspondent at USA Today.
Ortiz has a B.S. in journalism from Boston University.
