O’Rourke Media promotes De Laruelle to managing editor

Scott De Laruelle

Scott De Laruelle has been appointed managing editor of O’Rourke Media publications in the Madison, Wis. area: the Verona Press, Oregon Observer, Stoughton Courier Hub and Fitchburg Star.

De Laruelle joined Unified Newspaper Group in 2013, which was purchased by O’Rourke Media Group in 2022. Since then, he held the posts of opinion editor and staff reporter for the four publications.

He has been working in journalism since 2003.

De Laruelle holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
