Nonprofit news organization Oregon Capital Chronicle has tapped Julia Shumway as senior reporter after serving as a political reporter at the news outlet.
Prior to joining the Chronicle, Shumway covered the state senate for the Arizona Capitol Times. She reported on local government in Bend, Ore. for The Bulletin and was a legislative relief reporter at The Associated Press.
She reported and edited for The Hawk Eye Media Company and interned at The Arizona Republic.
Shumway graduated from Arizona State University.
