AIM Media Midwest, LLC announced today the appointment and return of David Trinko as editor at The Lima News and the appointment of Natalie Buzzard as regional advertising director for the Lima market in addition to maintaining her other responsibilities at the company. The announcements were made jointly by Jeremy L. Halbreich, Chairman and CEO, and by Rick Starks, President and COO, and they are effective immediately.
Trinko returns to the editor position after taking a few months away to pursue another business and employment opportunity. He first worked at The Lima News from 1997-2000 as a sports reporter before he left Lima for newspaper industry opportunities in Georgia and Virginia from 2000-2004. He then worked briefly at the daily newspaper in Delaware, Ohio in 2004, and then returned to The Lima News as Putnam County reporter from 2004-2006, senior content editor from 2006-2011, new media editor in 2011, managing editor from 2011-2021, and editor from 2022-2023.
Among Trinko’s numerous accomplishments and industry recognition was leading The Lima News to First Place for General Excellence in Ohio in both 2020 and 2022.
He serves as Chairman at Allen Lima Leadership.
