Dodai Stewart will rejoin The New York Times’ Metro desk as writer-at-large. She recently served as deputy editor, Narrative Projects.
Stewart joined the Times in 2018 as deputy editor, Metro after working as a freelancer.
She was formerly director of culture coverage, executive editor and then editor-in-chief, Splinter at Fusion Media Network. She also held editorial roles at Jezebel.com, Gawker Media and J-14 Magazine, Bauer Publishing.
Stewart graduated from New York University.
