Elena Shao has taken on the role of graphics/multimedia editor at The New York Times. Recently, she was a reporting fellow on the climate desk.
Previously, Shao freelanced for InsideClimate News and interned on the energy team at The Wall Street Journal. She also interned as a business and technology reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle and was a fellow at CalMatters.
Shao has a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University, where she held various posts at the Stanford Daily student paper, including managing editor.
