Víctor Manuel Ramos will join The New York Times Express desk as a senior staff editor. He begins on May 22. The Times describes him as “a fast, fierce breaking news competitor.”
Ramos has worked on the Flexible editing desk since June 2021, with editing stints in Business, Graphics, International, Obituaries, Politics, Real Estate, visual investigations and live briefings.
Prior to joining the Times, he was with Newsday as a special writer and deputy editor. He has also worked at Newsday from September 1997 to August 2004 as a staff writer.
Additionally, he has written for the Orlando Sentinel and El Diario/La Prensa.
