Adam Nossiter has joined The New York Times Obituaries desk as a reporter. Recently, he was a senior staff editor on the Metro desk.
Nossiter is a distinguished Times veteran, previously serving as New Orleans bureau chief, West Africa bureau chief, Paris correspondent, Paris bureau chief and Kabul bureau chief. He has also worked at the Times from 1995 to 1996.
He also led the team that won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for coverage of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. He previously worked at The Anniston Star in Alabama, St. Petersburg Times in Florida, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Associated Press.
Nossiter graduated from Harvard University.
