The New York Times has named Claire Hogan a video journalist on the social visuals team. In her new role, she promote the newsroom’s journalism across social platforms. She will also create visual content and write copy for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.
Hogan joined in May 2022 as a fellow.
She has also edited short videos for breaking news events and written scripts for video explainers, Instagram stories and Twitter threads.
Hogan interned at Science Magazine and graduated from William & Mary, where she was editor in chief of the student paper, The Flat Hat.
